| Ashwin Adarkar Executive Vice President Ashwin Adarkar is Executive Vice President, Corporate Development of IndyMac Bank and Chief Executive Officer of IndyMac Consumer Bank. Mr. Adarkar is responsible for IndyMac Bank's retail banking business, including its deposit gathering and branch-based mortgage lending activities. Mr. Adarkar is also responsible for a number of administrative and operational support units including strategic planning, mergers & acquisitions, corporate marketing, and outsourcing, and serves as liaison to the Strategic and Financial Planning Committee. Prior to joining IndyMac in September 2003, Mr. Adarkar was a Principal with McKinsey & Company, a management consulting firm, where he established McKinsey's practice in India, led its West Coast Financial Services and Health Care Practices and its Global Business Process Outsourcing Practice. Prior to joining McKinsey & Co., Mr. Adarkar worked with Goldman Sachs & Co. in their Mortgage Finance department. Mr. Adarkar received an M.S. in industrial engineering and a B.A in economics from Stanford University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He also received an M.B.A. from Stanford University where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar. |
